Special Education Resource
K-6
The resource program is here to enable students with learning problems to succeed according to their unique needs and talents. After going through the Student Success Team (SST) process, qualifying students will receive an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). To meet the goals written in the IEP, many students will receive Reading, Writing, and / or Math instruction in the resource classroom in place of or in addition to the regular classroom curriculum.
Curriculum and frequency of services are based on individual student needs and learning styles. The resource teachers work closely with classroom teachers and Arizona State Academic Standards to ensure students are instructed in the most appropriate manner.
