Holiday Charity:
Dear Families,
Every year, each grade level at our school collects certain items to create Thanksgiving food baskets for families in need of assistance. Kindergarten is assigned bread, rolls, butter/margarine, and pasta. Please feel free to begin sending in any of these items you wish to donate. I will have a basket here in our classroom. Thanks for your generosity!
PTA:
Hi everyone,
In Monday's mailbox you received envelopes for a fundraiser for "A Greener Refill". This is a fundraiser sponsored by Dan Fogel (father of sixth grade Maiah).
It works like this: any used, undamaged inkjet printer cartridge can be recycled to the benefit of North Ranch.
- Any used, undamaged cartridge that is donated to North Ranch will result in $1.00 being donated to the PTA.
- Any used, undamaged cartridge that is refilled will result in $2.00 being donated to the PTA. The refilled cartridges are available for $12.00 for black ink and $15.00 for color ink.
- If a remanufactured toner cartridge is ordered, $3.00 will be donated to the PTA and for each remanufactured ink cartridge ordered, $1.00 is donated to the PTA. (These are additional cartridges ordered where an empty is not provided for refill.)
Inside each envelope is an information sheet that includes specifics about the product and a list of available cartridges. Collection boxes will be placed near the front office and additional order envelopes are available throughout the school. Orders will be picked up on Thursday and ready the following Tuesday. Additional information is available at www.agreenerrefill.com or by contacting Dan at danielfogel@cox.net.
This is an easy way to encourage recycling and make some money for North Ranch PTA at the same time. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Thanks!
Anne Hribar
Hello,
Remember to visit our website Northranchpta.com. This is the second to last weekly email that will be sent this year. After next week, please go to the website first for all PTA information you need.
Sandpiper Elementary is hosting a free 6-week parenting class. Parents from North Ranch are invited. Please check out the attached flyer for more information.
The ingredient list for the Jamba Juice product sold on early release days will be available on our website this week.
We need items for our "North Ranch Notables". If you or someone you know has done something great, please submit those items to Lisa Sanchez at LKSanchez17@cox.net. These accomplishments will then be spotlighted on our PTA website.
Lastly, an item from our teacher wish list. The media center is in need of rechargeable AA batteries and chargers. These are used for the school's digital cameras. They are used by teachers for special projects and by our Yearbook staff to created memories for the 2009-10 yearbook. Please contact Lori Haenny for additional information.
Have a great week.
Electronic Newsletters/Flyers:
As this website will be home to pictures and classroom information, please check back periodically for electronic versions of our class and homeroom moms' newsletters, links for parents and students, and helpful websites:
*By clicking on the 'newsletters' tab of this website, you will find our monthly newsletters and other important information- these documents can be downloaded to your computer and are usually in a 'Word Document' format.
*Please be sure and periodically check the 'calendar' tab of this website; here, you will find important dates and reminders for upcoming events and daily special area schedule. Double click on an event, and additional information may pop up.
*As I begin to gather photos, those students given permission might have their special picture under the 'class photos' tab! Finally, for some at-home fun, students and parents might explore the 'web links' tab; here, there are educational websites that enhance the curriculum we are doing in class.
*PTA will be having their information on the North Ranch website. Please check there for pertinent information!*
Please feel free to email me with questions in navigating this website. Our school-wide goal this year is to communicate electronically, eliminating the need to copy so many papers!
You are about to leave the North Ranch Elementary School web site and the school/district server. The Paradise Valley Unified School District has no responsibility for the content beyond this point. The Internet is a highly volatile place and pages change suddenly and rapidly. It is not unusual to find information or images that are objectionable. Proceed at your own risk.
