Handout the Shakespeare Plot Pyramid, Character Identification, and Event Sequence Sheet. Complete everything. If you were absent, ask Mr. Van Buren for some sheets to help you do this packet. Study all these sheets for the test. You must label every event with its correct name letters. Exposition is EX. C=Climax, Catastrophe=Ca, etc.
2. Shakespeare Food Celebration. Foods from Shakespeareís time.
3. Review the Review Sheet. It is on the back of the Romeo and Juliet Evaluation Sheet. You must know these elements like iambic pentameter and blank verse.
4. Finish all study guide material in all periods.
Period 5 received help on Acts III, IV, and V.
The Act III Quiz will be on the Unit Test day for Period 5.
Period 5 will turn in the Acts III, IV, and V Study Guides on exam day Thursday.
Periods 2 and 4 will turn in Acts IV and V Study Guides on exam day Thursday.

- Groups present their best thesis statement and one quote on either Perseus' wit, determination, or courage. These are the recommended three parts of the thesis. Link each trait with an event in the story. For example, Perseus demonstrates his wit when he pressures the Gray Sisters to divulge the information he needs.
- Homework: Fill in all three Chunk Plus Shaping Sheets. The first is on wit, the second is on determination, and the third is on courage.

- Read page 1109, Homonyms and Choosing among Word Meanings. Read and explain each speech section. Go to page 849, for examples of Homonym examples.
- You are learning how to read the lines in your speeches and trying to make the meaning clear. It will take time to achieve this goal. Shakespeare and his audience enjoyed word play and wit. His plays were presented in the afternoon in daylight. Shakespeareís words needed to be highly descriptive. Look for Shakespeareís word play in your speeches. Difficult words are explained the margins of the play in the book.
- Go to page 1023 and paraphrase lines 1-25 in Romeoís Speech.
- Collect 1/3 page on how to cope with a disaster and the four questions on the Romeo and Juliet Group Presentation packet, and the paraphrase of lines 1-25 of Romeoís speech on page 1023.
