Seventh Grade Choir
Seventh Grade Course Description
This is a nine week choir class in which students will be introduced to sight reading, music theory, and vocal techniques. The choirs will learn music from countries around the world as well as from our American heritage.
Grading
60% Class participation
A class participation grade is given at the end of each class period. A total of five points can be earned each day by participating and following class rules. If a student is absent they will be given one day for each day of absence to get make up work in. It is the studentÃs responsibility to get the make up work turned in on time. Once the deadline is passed, makeup work will not be accepted.
40% Tests,Written Work, and Performance
Tests and written assignments will be given. Tests may be written or oral and may include music theory, rhythm reading, and solfege.
