Grade Chapter 2 Section 1. Perform The Rise and Fall of the Water Empire Lab. Full lab report will be due on Friday. We did not perform the Rise and Fall Lab today. Instead we worked on 2.1 and 2.2 Reinforcing Key Concepts WS and 2.2 Reading Study Guide B. |

Discussion about how to find the number of neutrons in an atom, how to draw the first 20 atoms, and how to find the number of electrons in an atom. The classwork/homework is the Atom Drawings WS. |
Wednesday |
Grade Atom Drawings WS. Demonstration on how to boil water without using heat. Classwork/homework is the Atom Drawing Questions WS. We will grade in class if there is time. |
Thursday |
Grade Atom Drawing Questions WS. Do the WS Identifying Unknown Elements in class and take grade. Discuss how to count atoms in a molecule. HW is to do the counting atoms WS. |
Friday |
Needed for the demonstration today will be one coke and one diet coke can. |
