Welcome to Mrs. Lambert's Sixth Grade Classroom
The personality of a sixth grader is truly unique! Enjoy it for the time it presents itself. The students are becoming independent people and independent learners. They profess to being able to handle things on their own, but need to understand that the adults in their lives are still there to provide a safety net.
The sixth grade curriculum at encompasses an exciting and challenging array of topics. In addition to teaching the sixth grade Core Knowledge curriculum and Arizona state standards, the sixth grade team is committed to helping students become independent, organized learners. We will guide them to set realistic, achievable goals and help them to regularly review and assess their own progress. Students will learn that there are many different strategies for solving problems, and will be encouraged to experiment until they find the solutions that work for them.
Parents are an integral part of this journey. I welcome any comments or suggestions. Please fell free to contact me if there are concerns about your child's progress or experience in the classroom.
