EIGHTH GRADE ART

When our students reach eighth grade, they get to choose two different electives. Elective courses are a semester long, but If a student chooses to take an elective for the enire school year, then they may only take that elective. Due to the longer duration of the course in eighth grade art, students get to expand upon the basics they learned in seventh grade. A wider variety of materials are introduced and concepts are studied in greater depth. In eighth grade art, students review the foundations of visual arts and learn new material such as observational drawing, typography, fashion design, portaiture, and alternative art. Once again, most supplies are provided, but donations and gifts are heartily welcomed.
