SEVENTH GRADE ART

Here at Vista Verde, our seventh graders are introduced to four different electives as part of the "strand" program. Those electives are: art, choir, computers, and technology. We do this so that students can receive a balanced education and to also give them a feel for what they might like to excel in for eighth grade. Strand courses are only 9 weeks long, therfore, each class is a basic intoduction to the content of that course. In seventh grade art, students are introduced to the foundations or building blocks of the visual arts. Concepts and techniques such as design, color theory, perspective, basic shading, and drawing will be covered in this quarterly course. Most supplies are provided, but donations and gifts are heartily welcomed.
