AVID Student Survey
Goals of 8th Grade AVID
To succeed in high school and beyond, AVID students will learn & practice:
- Cornell note-taking, keeping a planner, keeping an organized binder, goal-setting and achieving, and talking to teachers.
- Math and Reading Skills
- Processing Skills
- Tutorials and teambuilding
To build motivation for university success, the AVID students will:
- Visit a university
- Learn about the path to college
- Learn about how to finance college tuition
- Learn about how universities operate
- Create their own university
