Health Screenings

Screenings at Pinnacle High School

Grade level state mandates and program-specific health screenings of students are performed each year (e.g. height, weight, vision, hearing, blood pressure, scoliosis).

All new to district students and all students receiving special education services at Pinnacle High School are screened at the beginning of the school year. This includes: hearing, vision, height and weight and may also include blood pressure and pulse.

All freshman will have a hearing, weight and height screening early into the start of the school year.

Any student who previously failed a screening that has not been resolved will be rescreened.

At anytime a parent or teacher refers a student to the nurse for a vision or hearing concern, the student will be screened at the earliest possible time.

You will be notified of screening results should the nurse detect a possible problem.

Parent volunteers are always needed to assist with screening. We welcome your assistance. Please contact Mrs. Moskowitz, in the health office to volunteer. 602-449-4003.
