Indian Bend Social Worker
I am very proud to be a social worker at Indian Bend Elementary. I have been a part of the Indian Bend family for almost 8 years now. WOW!
You might wonder, what does the social worker do? Here is a brief list of things that I might do:
*Run weekly groups with kids to support development of social skills.
*Help children and families deal with any immediate crisis.
*Support teachers in helping students be successful in class.
*Assist families in accessing community resources for mental health and basic needs.
*Coordinate programs during the holidays for family adoptions.
*Provide a safe place for kids to talk, whenever they need to.
There are probably a lot of other things that can be added to the list, but that is a good start for now.
