Students at North Ranch attend the library as one of their special area classes. Most classes come to the library once during each 6-day rotation. Check your child's special area schedule to see if they come on Day 1, 2, or 3.
Kindergarten and first grade students can checkout 1 book at a time. Second through sixth grade students can checkout 2 books. All books are due in 2 weeks. Books can be renewed as necessary. We encourage students to return books as soon as they are finished with them.
Please remind your children to take care of their library books, keep them in a safe place, and return them on time.
Overdue Policy
When students have an overdue book, they cannot checkout another book until the overdue book is returned. We do not charge fines for overdue books, but we do ask that you pay for lost or damaged books so they can be replaced. Overdue notices are sent home about once a month.
Please encourage your child to be a good North Ranch citizen by returning library books on time and responding to overdue notices in a timely manner.
Lost Book Refund Policy
*If a student pays for a lost book during the first semester (Aug.-Dec.), a refund will be given if the book is found and returned to the library during the same school year.
*If a student pays for a lost book during the 2nd semester (Jan.-May), a refund will be given if the book is found and returned to the library by Sept. 30th.
