Communication is of utmost importance in everyday life. I always say that there are two things that make a first impression: your appearance and how you speak. My task as a public school speech-language pathologist is to identify students with speech-language disabilities that adversely impact academic performance and provide remedial interventions and strategies to enable those students to successfully make progress in the general education curriculum. Speech-language disabilities include disorders of voice, fluency, articulation and receptive and expressive language.
