**EVERY EFFORT IS MADE TO KEEP THIS HOMEWORK WEBSITE CURRENT ON A DAILY BASIS.  HOWEVER, IN THE EVENT IT IS NOT UPDATED, STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE THE DAILY ASSIGNMENTS AND HOMEWORK RECORDED IN THEIR STUDENT PLANNERS.  THANK YOU.**

Welcome Team Hallows to the 2009-2010 school year.  I am so excited for our learning adventure and can't wait to get to know all of you.  This website is the lifeline to a successful sixth grade year.  Please use this site on a daily basis to check what topics we covered throughout the day and to see what homework you may have for the night.  Parents:  Please ask to see your child's homework as homework is never collected until the following morning.  All homework is turned in at the back table and will be checked in on the Homework Log.  All students can review the Homework log at any time to see what homework they have missing before the weekly communication folders are distributed on Friday.

ONLINE GRADE WEBSITE:
Will be up and running on February 23rd.  You can use the same user name and password as the old system.
https://ic.pvschools.net/campus/portal/paradisevalley.jsp
When you go to the grading website, click on SCHEDULE and then select the course you are interested in looking at.  The new format is going to take a little while to get used to, so bear with us as we both learn how to navigate this new system.  We thank you for your patience.

Links:
Email:                  Please email me with any questions.

Online Gradebook :      You will need your child's user name and password to access this site. The online grade book site is updated by the     15th and 30th of each month.

Eagle Ridge :           Click here to see what's else is happening at Eagle Ridge.

Accelerated Reader :  Independent Reading program website where students can check to see if a certain book they own or have checked out has a quiz available for them to check out.

Math Website:  This is a website that offers the students some math games to review basic math skills.

**Parents please help your child follow the school dress code for the school year.  As the hot temperature remains constant, some kids are wearing shorts, tank tops and short skirts which are a little too short according to the school dress code.  Please double check the student's attire before he/she leaves for school to eliminate the possiblity of him/her having to change his/her clothes in the nurse's office.

*Cell phone policy:  The cell phone policy states that all cell phones are to be left in the office before school and can be picked up after school.  This is to eliminate classroom disruptions during lessons and learning.  Thank you.

Paragraph of the Week (POW) Schedule

Monday -- Complete graphic organizer and write first draft
Tuesday -- Revise first draft and write second draft
Wednesday -- Last minute edits before Teacher Revisions and side notes to help students elaborate
Thursday -- Reread second draft, make revisions/edits as necessary, and write final draft
Friday -- Turn in graphic organizer, all drafts, and POW sheet for grade in the appropriate order

**IMPORTANT NOTICE**

**Please note that if you or your child email regarding a particular assignment I will respond back to you as soon as time allows.  I will make every effort to check my emails after school and up until five pm to assist with your questions or concerns.  Thank you.
