EVERY STUDENT MUST CARRY A SCHOOL ID
AT ALL TIMES!!!!!!!
1.Every student is given 2 "free" tardy passes per semester that they can use between 7:30 am and 7:45am ONLY. If the student arrives AFTER 7:45am, a parent phone call is required or else the absence is recorded as a truancy. The third tardy and every tardy thereafter, will result in the student going to sweep.
2.Law states that every student must remain in school until 16 years of age. If over 16, truancies will result in after school opportunity halls. If under 16, three truancies will result in:
a. A warning letter to the parents and a verbal warning to the student.
b.If the student accrues 5 truancies, the student will receive a ticket, a fine, a court date and a probation officer.
NOTE: It is VERY important that the parent/guardian call in their student if the student will be absent from school!!! Please call within a 24 hour period of the student's absence!
Attendance is a KEY part of student success and it is our goal at Paradise Valley that EVERY student be successful!
