Mrs. Fortune's Webpage
Welcome to our 6th grade classroom.
The purpose of this webpage is to inform parents
and students about our class.
Mrs. Fortune was born in Oceanside, NY and moved to Arizona in 8th grade. She is a product of Paradise Valley Schools. Mrs. Fortune attended Cholla Elementary School and graduated from Paradise Valley High School. She has taught in Paradise Valley for 30 years, teaching K-6th grades. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University. Mrs. Fortune has been married to her husband, Dave, for 25 years. She has two daughters,Lindsay and Kacie,who are are both former North Ranch students. She enjoys cooking,
crafts, rubber stamping, and scrapbooking. Mrs. Fortune believes in implementing Brain Based Strategies, Cooperative Learning, and Literature Circles into the curriculum. Her goal is to provide engaging, standards based classroom activities. She looks forward to working with you and your child this school year.
