What Is GenYES?
Technology can play an important role in education, but teachers don't always have the time to use it. GenYES exists to solve this problem.
GenYES is a program that:
- Teams up students with teachers to create lessons and projects that teachers can use in the future.
- Provides technology assistance to teachers.
- Teaches teachers how to use technology.
- Uses technology to help all students learn.
- Develops student leadership skills.
What are you going to do in GenYes?
- Learn technology and interpersonal skills in the GenYes class.
- Work with a teacher in your school who will be your partner in creating a GenYes project.
- Meet with your partner-teacher to plan and create a project that helps him or her use technology in the classroom.
- Use the GenYes website tools to keep track of the project and save it for future GenYes students and teachers.
- Finish the project so your partner-teacher can use it with students.
- Teach your partner-teacher how to use the technology so he or she can continue to use it in the classroom.
What is a GenYes project?
