In Sept 2009 your child will have their annual school health screening performed. This health screening will be done through their science class and will not require any removal of clothing. PLEASE have your child remember to bring their glasses or contacts and it is recommended not to wear a dress or skirt on this day.
After the screening is over I will be calling every student to my office that failed any part of the screening on 9/11/08. If the student fails the second screening, I will be sending home a health screening referral form that will recommend the parent/guardian take the child for a medical follow-up. I cannot make this request mandatory but it is highly suggested that you seek medical attention for your child. A vision or hearing problem at school can affect your child's learning. Once you have your child seen by a specialist, please return the form back to me to place in their medical file.
