Welcome to my web page! I am "Nurse Dee". I am a nurse in the Paradise Valley School District. I was very lucky to help open Mountain Trail Middle School in 2002. I hope this page will answer all the questions you have for me. If it doesn't, please don't hesitate to email me.
F.A.Q.'s

1. Will you call me if my son/daughter visits your office today?

Your child will always be allowed to call you from the nurse's office. Please encourage your child to ask to call home if they want to. It is possible that the school nurse does not think the visit requires a phone call home but the child really wants to. PLEASE do not have your child call home sick from their cell phones. First of all, cell phones are to be off during school hours and secondly, the school nurse will not be aware that your child is ill if they are not calling from the health office.

2.  Should I keep my sick son/daughter home from school today?

Your child must be fever free (without aid of medication) for 24 hours before returning to school. If your child has a contagious illness please call your doctor and/or the school nurse to be sure it is OK for your child to return to school.
