Six Traits of Citiizennship

Warm Up - What does it mean to be a citizen?  Use a minimum of 10 descriptors.

In pairs, students will create a definition and example for an assigned trait

Students will do a pair share to get the rest of the 6 traits definitions

Homework is to share the traits with their parents and identify which traits are their strongest and their weakest.

Tuesday,

Students will discuss scenarios and the citizenship trait which is covered in each

        pair share

Wed-Th.

Students will interpret the meaning of being a citizen

Warm Up

What are ways people show they are patriotic

The students will create a poster of an historical gifure demonstrating citizenship

Friday

Students will share their posters

Students will identify what areas of citizenship they need to work on   

        Students will come up with 3 concrete ways they will accomplish this
