"A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words."
Welcome to Art Class! Art is an amazing adventure that can lead to many incredible places. This year in Art Class we will explore different cultures. We will travel around the world as well as exploring our own state, and discover the different types of art that abound. We will learn about famous artists. We will discuss the Elements of Art. But mostly we will CREATE fabulous artworks.
Every one of my students will have a chance to be creative and experiment in the world of art. I expect nothing less than the personal best of ALL of my students and the intrinsic rewards of a job well done are well worth the effort.
As part of the Core Knowledge program we will view and discuss famous artworks and the artists who created them. Also as part of the Core Knowledge program the students will create artworks that reflect the subjects they are learning in their classroom.
