           Welcome to Mrs. Skoff's  __SUN10.gif
Sixth Grade Class

In addition to teaching the sixth grade Core Knowledge curriculum and Arizona state standards, the sixth grade team is committed to helping students become independent, organized learners.  We will guide students to set realistic, achievable goals and help them to regularly review and assess their own progress.  Students will learn that there are many different strategies for studying and will be encouraged to experiment until they find one (or more) that works for them.  We hope to empower students to personalize and take charge of their own learning and prepare them for the middle and high-school experiences that await them right around the corner.

Parents, of course, are an integral part of this journey.  I welcome any comments and suggestions, and encourage parents to contact me if there are any concerns about a child’s progress or experiences in the classroom.
