About Me:
Hello! I'm excited to be working as the School Psychologist at Sunset Canyon. The dedication exhibited by staff and students here has made my first year in Paradise Valley a real success! Though I was born in Wichita, KS and lived in Tulsa, OK for almost 25 years I now think of Arizona as my home. My husband and I married in 2005 and moved here the summer of 2006. Despite our having to help unload a moving truck on a 117 degree day, the cacti and sunsets quickly reminded us we were in the right place!
I am a graduate of both the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University. I have a Master's degree in Applied Psychometrics and earned my Education Specialist degree in 2006. I have always sought opportunities to work with children and what better place to find them then in the school setting! I believe collaboration between staff and students is vital for the success of our children and communication is key. Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time. School psychologists help children and youth succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. They collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for all students that strengthen connections between home and school.
