· Wildfire Parent Education Series - Join Dr. Tracey Graves as we talk about The Connection Between Memory and Learning-Executive Functioning Deficits OFTEN Confused with Lack of Motivation. Having a limited working memory capacity results in losing crucial information when trying to follow instructions and details of what to do next. If information is not stored properly, or at all, a child most certainly cannot retrieve this information for future tasks or build upon prior information for learning. Children with executive functioning deficits demonstrate difficulty remembering information from one lesson to the next. Dr. Graves holds a Ph.D. and nearly 17 years experience as Speech-Language Pathologist in both private and public settings. Her vast experiences, especially in the medical setting, make her a terrific resource as a member of the Wildfire staff. The session will be held Monday, November 16, 2009 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Wildfire Elementary School and is geared towards the parents of K-6 students.  Call the school or stop by the front office to sign up for this FREE Class.
