The
third grade curriculum expands on the skills learned
in the second grade. Guided reading helps students
become independent readers, while our writer's workshop
gives our students time to practice writing skills.
Multiplication facts through X9 are mastered in math,
with much practice in division. Telling time, fractions,
decimals and measurement are other concepts to be
understood and applied. Communities, land forms and
the Arctic Regions are the units covered in social
studies, while sound, life cycles rocks and minerals
are studied in science. |
