Physical
Education — V.V.E.S.
has a comprehensive, articulated physical education
program, that significantly impacts student learning,
emphasizes participation in physical activity, helps
students develop the knowledge, attitudes, skills
and confidence needed to adopt and maintain healthy
and physically active lifestyles.
Library — V.V.E.S.
has a good library collection. All genres are represented
as well as reference material and non-fiction books.
Much of our collection has been labeled with the
Accelerated Reader quiz level so that students
may easily find reading material and the level
upon which they read. Our full time library technician,
Ms. McDaniel, is available to help students.
Computer Science
— Village Vista
has two Apple computer labs that are connected
to the Internet. One is used to help students
do rededication and to take Accelerated Reader
tests. The other is used on a daily basis for
classes to come to and receive instruction on
how to use technology to produce virtual documents
that correlate with classroom curriculum. There
is also a mobile cart complete with 32 laptops,
complete with airports to connect to the World Wide
Web. Teachers check this cart out to use technology
in the classroom. |
