The
school health office is staffed by a full time
registered nurse. The nurse's major responsibility
is to help maintain a healthy school environment
and give each child the best opportunity to learn
and reach his/her potential. Methods to accomplish
this are through health education, health assessments,
identification of health problems and making appropriate
referrals and follow-up.
The nurse is a member
of the Student Study Team and provides a neuromaturational
screening for those students who are referred. |
