Inspiration deepens understanding of concepts, increases memory retention, develops organizational skills, and taps creativity.

Open Inspiration on your computer by going to the Hard Drive, select the Applications folder and double clicking on Inspiration icon. If you do not have Inspiration, contact instructor.

Assignment:
Create a diagram with a main topic, at least 3 sub-topics, and at least 2 supporting ideas to go with these sub-topics. All of this should be related to your curriculum. You should also have some symbols from the symbol library in your diagram. Use color in your sub-topics for visual cues. Save this as and send to the TECH TIF Digital Presentation Skills conference as an attachment, with Inspiration in the Subject line.

The Office v. X manual, Getting Started with Microsoft Office X, is installed on your computer automatically. Available in portable document format (.pdf), the manual explains how to perform common tasks by using each of the Office v. X programs.
To open the manual
        1.      Open the Microsoft Office X folder on your hard disk.To open the folder, switch to the Finder, and then click Applications on the Go menu. Double-click the Microsoft Office X folder.

        After viewing video clips, complete a NEW presentation using YOU as the subject.
Slide 1: Title slide, your name, date show created in Subtitle box, choose a design template
Slide 2: Birth: where, when, use 2 column slide layout change font to Garamond, 24 pt, Green
Slide 3: Family (growing up), use organization chart layout, animate title
Slide 4: Childhood, activities, special remembrances, use Title only slide layout, put each phrase in an AutoShape, animate Auto Shapes
Slide 5: Schooling: Insert Word Art for title, give details in bulleted list, animate Word Art
Slide 6: Job(s): use Title only slide layout, insert text boxes for information, animate
Slide 7: Hobbies/Interests: use Text and Media clip layout, insert movie clip
Slide 8: Family (current): Bulleted list layout or Text and photo, change bullet type, insert photo from Pics 4 Learning (see below)

Teacher2Teacher activities illustrate how to incorporate software into existing curriculum. Each activity provides:

Log in to Atomic Learning. Click on the Resources tab.
Go to Teacher2Teacher link in the right hand column.
Then select either Inspiration Lesson Plans I or II or Microsoft PowerPoint Lesson Plans.
Browse through these lessons.
Choose one, which can be adapted for you to use as a presentation for a whole group, from your laptop with the multimedia cart, in a lesson.
Make necessary changes to the template provided in the file.
Explain your changes/adaptations in your email message and attach the PowerPoint or Inspiration file with changes.
