Both of my sons attended Sonoran Sky. I don’t believe there is any better place to educate our children. The staff, the students, and the parents are all amazing.

Describe a special teaching moment. It may be the fist time you realized you made the right career choice or a short story of a student who touched you. When I was in middle school, they began a program for students to go to the elementary school next door and assist in the classrooms. It was an eye-opening experience to see school from another perspective; the teachers. Helping the little kids achieve success was fun and rewarding, so I chose to pursue that profession.

My job is not just to teach lessons on subject standards, but to develop life skills that my students wil be able to apply to any situation as they grow.

I was born in Olympia, Washington, and lived there until I was 10 years old. Then my family moved to Salem, Oregon, where I lived until going away to college.

I became a teacher after working in the front office of a school and realizing how much I loved being around children. It is also the best job in the world, because nothing else will impact lives and the world as directly as teaching, and you don't get direct evidence of that influence in any other field.
