Cindy Sparks, Band Director csparks@pvschools.net Voice mail extension: 35503. I have a Bachelor in Music Education degree from NAU as well as a Master's in Education degree, also from NAU. This is my 28th year of teaching, for 27 of those years I have taught elementary band. I have taught one year in Glendale district, and 27 years in Paradise Valley. I am currently teaching band at 4 schools in the Paradise Valley District. I enjoy teaching band because music meant so much to me as a child,  I enjoy sharing that experience with my students. One of my favorite things is helping students learn to play their first song on an instrument. After weeks of learning how to produce tones as well as learning how to read music it is very rewarding when they put it all together and play their first song! My hobbies include hiking, reading, and listening to all kinds of good music! My husband and I have two sons who are both in college, one at ASU and the other at the UofA.
