Sonoran Sky Elementary was opened in the fall of 1994 to service the families of Paradise Valley School District's most eastern boundaries. Sonoran Sky is one of 29 elementary schools in the district and it currently offers Kindergarten through 6th grade classes to more than 500 students.

We are committed to building a community of individuals who care for one another and encourage one another to succeed. We believe there are no limits to what your child can do!

Sonoran Sky is located in Scottsdale, Arizona, and is a part of the Paradise Valley Unified School District. We are very proud of our school. Our students, staff and parent community are enthusiatic and dedicated to making Sonoran Sky an outstanding example of excellence in education.

NOTE: You may have noticed that advertisements have been popping up on many of our school buses. There is a link to the bus advertising program on the district's Web site, and we would like to add a link on as many school Web sites as possible. I'm sure some parents have bookmarked your school site, and may not visit the district site often, but may have a business or work for a company that might want to rent space on a bus. Please send an email to Judi or Audrey St. Clair, the districts webmaster, telling us we have permission to make the link. If your site is not hosted on the PVUSD server, we will need the person who maintains your site to make the link.

By law, the money generated from bus advertising must be designated for energy conservation measures and alternative fuel support vehicles. While it does not go directly to the M & O budget, if enough money is generated, the district could allocate less of its M & O funds for these purposes. The advertising agency with whom we have a contract estimates that up to a half million dollars could be generated in a year.
