Volunteers will be able to assist with the PTA activities, which are scheduled before, after and during school hours. We also need long-term volunteers as tutors, reading with children and on the Safety team. You may volunteer from home by making phone calls, and at the primary level in helping with cutouts and pasting.

Volunteers are needed to help with the duty aides, the crossing guards, in the cafeteria, in the office and with the lunch walking club.  We also need volunteers to assist with the divorce-coping groups, anger-management groups and with social skills.

Eagle Ridge

Volunteers are needed to assist with copying, editing and binding the student-made books. We need volunteers to help with the science and literacy fair and with the spelling bee. The yearbook editor and photographer will also need assistance. We need long-term volunteers to help reading and math with individual children. We also need assistance supervising the playground with children at recess and with health and fitness.  If you would like to volunteer from home there are many kindergarten and primary activities that you can assist with such as cutting and making books for reading lessons.

Volunteers are needed to assist with Kopy Kats, Grand Canyon Trekkers (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.) crossing guards and duty aides. We also need volunteers to read with the children and to assist with the PTO activities.  If you would like to volunteer from home, we need assistance with stapling and cutting for various activities.

Volunteers are needed to help with the before and after school parking-lot-safety-aides and with the noon-duty-safety-aides. We also need volunteers to help the Community Nights Planning Coordinator with the monthly family events, such as the ‘Family Field Night’.  We need volunteers to read with children individually, assist with Read Naturally, AR and to lead small groups in classroom centers. These volunteers will be coordinated with the PTA, PTSA, PTO and the PTG, as they coordinate most of the volunteers.

• Art Masterpiece: classroom visits to show the students art prints and explanation of the great art masters. All information is provided for volunteers
• AR — Accelerated Reader: assist with students’ reading program, the students take computer-generated tests and students will progress through ‘A.R.’ level by level
• Book Rabbit: make phone calls ‘to catch the children reading' at home reading incentives are supplied from the PTSA for rewards for reading at home
