Vision

The vision of Palomino Elementary is to become an innovative, academically-recognized school with learning communities for all people from diverse backgrounds. The school campus is the center of the community as a place where the entire family feels welcome and can receive comprehensive support according to their needs. Students demonstrate high academic achievement and become life long learners who strive for excellence in all aspects of life. Students are challenged appropriately by a rigorous curriculum and taught in a quality, student-centered environment. Academic, social and emotional growth are valued and measured in numerous ways. All adults within our learning community will contribute to student success through their professionalism, continuous learning and respectful behavior.

Mission

We see ourselves as professional, collaborative educators with high expectations for ourselves, as well as our students. We accept no excuse for the lack of academic progress and commit to high student achievement and individual excellence.

Palomino Elementary School’s mission is to provide children with relevant experiences and prepare them for adulthood with discipline, responsibility, a balanced curriculum and evaluation. We believe each student should be accepted as a unique individual, capable of thinking, participating and succeeding in school. We value each child’s contribution. Our goal is to create an environment where literacy forms the basis of an educational program that is academically, affectively and physically supportive.
