CERTIFIED STARTING SALARY RANGE: 2008-09

Paradise Valley Unified School seeks highly qualified and appropriately-certified teachers who are looking for a progressive and professional career move.  We offer a compensation package including the following:

Starting salary ranges for teachers coming to the PVUSD*
Teachers with:

Bachelor's degree


$ 36,122  —  37,322

Master’s degree   

$ 38,210  —  39,710

Master’s degree plus additional credits

$ 38,270 —  43,632

National Board Certificate or Ed.D./Ph.D.

$ 46,132  —  50,332
* = Includes Performance-Based-Pay

Note:  Speech and language pathologists / psychologists range begins at $43,608.

Special education self-contained teachers will receive a $ 2,000 addenda; psychologists, speech and language specialists, occupational and physical therapists will receive and additional 15% on the base of the placement salary and will be eligible for Performance Based Pay.

Hard-to-fill addenda are available for teachers qualified to fill such positions and who come to us with more than six years of experience. Hard-to-fill positions include 7-12 math, science, English, CTE,  9-12 world languages, K-12 special education, ESL, K-6 reading and gifted specialists.  Addenda range from $600 to $16,200, depending upon year of experience.

ADMINISTRATOR SALARY RANGE: 2008-09

Paradise Valley Unified School District provides a professional and progressive educational environment where administrators are supported as academic leaders.     • Competitive salary with $ 1,000 addenda for the doctorate degree
    • Annual professional development / travel addenda of $ 1,500

$ 66,400 — 74,500  205 duty days

9-12 Assistant Principal  

$ 69,300 — 83,400 215 duty days

K-8 Principal

$ 73,000 — 91,984 205 duty days

9-12 Principal

$ 83,300 — 99,600 215 duty days

Assistant Director

$ 57,550 — 84,000 239 duty days
