The
Arizona Department of Education (ADE) has awarded Excelling
labels to 22 PVUSD schools. This accomplishment means that the Paradise Valley
District is one of the top performing in the state. Just
five years ago, there were only seven Excelling schools
in the district.
This year, the PVUSD has eight schools labeled Highly
Performing, 11 receiving the designation of Performing
Plus, and five called Performing. Dr. Jim Lee, superintendent,
will attend staff meetings at all 22 Excelling schools,
handing out lapel pins that say “Excelling,” to
recognize the achievement of
the highest label possible.
