Values, Vision and Mission

GOAL I:

To advance excellence in teaching and learning for everyone.

  1. Increase the percentage of students who are achieving by attending, participating in appropriately challenging daily activities, demonstrating proficiency on standards, and graduating.
  2. Increase the variety, flexibility and quality of educational practices and learning opportunities to meet the needs of all learners, supported by the PVUSD community.
  3. Increase the professional development opportunities that are based on priority needs of students and relevancy to employees.
GOAL II:

To identify, develop, and optimize human and financial resources.

  1. Identify and evaluate more efficient uses of existing funding to improve student achievement and employee satisfaction.
  2. Research, identify and create additional funding sources to improve student achievement and employee satisfaction.
  3. Create more opportunities for parental and community partnerships to support and enhance the learning environment.
GOAL III:

To retain, develop, and attract quality personnel.

  1. Develop a compensation package to attract and retain the highest quality employees.
  2. Maintain, provide, and enhance professional working conditions to attract and retain the highest quality in all employee groups.
  3. Increase workforce diversity to meet changing demographics.
GOAL IV:

To ensure a positive and productive physical and cultural environment

  1. Develop a comprehensive, fiscally responsible plan that addresses individual school and district needs and standards so all sites are functional, efficient, aesthetically pleasing, legally compliant, and safe.
  2. Enhance the learning climate and culture by promoting and validating student emotional and social well-being.
  3. Acknowledge, address and support people with diverse backgrounds and needs.
GOAL V:

To effectively enhance communication and apply collaborative processes.

  1. Make decisions collaboratively and implement them consistently to achieve beneficial outcomes with respect to the entire PVUSD community.
  2. Encourage communication within the PVUSD community that is respectful with thorough consideration to the message, tone, language need, and ability to be understood.
  3. Plan for the systematic implementation and support of district-wide technology to accelerate the achievement of PVUSD goals.
  4. Increase the visibility and positive profile of PVUSD.

VISION
The vision of the Paradise Valley Unified School District is to become a great school district featuring learning communities for all people. Students demonstrate high achievement in a climate where they are challenged appropriately by a rigorous curriculum and taught in a quality, student-centered learning environment. Academic, social and  emotional growth of students is fostered and measured in a variety of ways. All adults in the community contribute to student success through their professionalism, continuous learning  and respectful behavior which is characterized by the collaboration of stakeholders.

MISSION
The mission of the Paradise Valley Unified School District is to lead students to high achievement and individual excellence through a system of professional expertise and positive collaboration.
