Mrs. Jill Hoogendyk
, Governing
Board president
Jill Hoogendyk earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in
Psychology from the University of Illinois, and her Master
of Arts degree in Psychology from Rosemead Graduate School
of Psychology. Mrs. Hoogendyk has been a member of the
PVUSD United Parent Council, Citizen's Curriculum Advisory
Committee, Superintendent's Parent Advisory Group and
other committees.She is president of a mortgage brokerage
company and is a frequent speaker and writer in the area
of real estate finance. She and her husband, Mike, have
two daughters and a son, two of whom graduated
from North Canyon High School, and a grandson who attends
Boulder Creek. Her term runs through December 2010.

Mrs.
Nancy Case, Governing Board member
Nancy Case received a Bachelor of Science
degree in Retailing from Brigham Young University in
1978. She and her husband, Art Case, are the parents
of seven children, ages 6 to 26. All of their children
have either graduated from or are currently attending
Paradise Valley schools. Mrs. Case has enjoyed volunteering
in her children's schools. She has also tutored many
students and taught reading classes in her home. She
loves to teach. Her term will run through December 2012.

Mrs. Anne Greenberg, Governing
Board member
Anne Greenberg received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. She is co-owner and executive vice president of Health & Medical Multimedia. The webmaster for the United Parent Council, Mrs. Greenberg is a member of the Community Legislative Network and has served on numerous district and school committees. She also is a member of the state board of the Arizona Academic Decathlon Association and of the Legislative Committee and Federal Relations Network for the Arizona School Boards Association. Mrs. Greenberg and her husband, Rick McGuire, have two sons, one who graduated from and one who currently attends Paradise Valley schools. Her term will run through December 2012.

Mr. Tom Ohmart , Governing
Board member
Tom Ohmart earned his Bachelor of Science
degree in Wildlife Management and his Certified Public
Manager certification from Arizona State University, and
is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Administration.
Mr. Ohmart, who served on the Governing
Board from 2001-04, is a Phoenix fire captain who has
served as president of both the Board and the politcal
action committee (PAC) overseeing a Capital Override
and Bond for the district. He and his wife Patty have four sons, one is currently attending Horizon High School,
and three have graduated from PVUSD schools. His term
will run through December, 2010.

Dr. Sue M. Skidmore, Governing
Board member
Sue Skidmore earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Mount Union College and her Master of Science degree from Youngstown State University. She also holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Arizona State University. Dr. Skidmore has been a public school teacher, high school principal and school district superintendent, and is currently an adjunct professor at Arizona State. Additionally, she is the founder of a Web-based company that specializes in enhancing business grammatical skills and the co-author of an English reference book. She has been actively involved in the district’s United Parent Council, serving two years as co-president, is a volunteer teacher for the UPC’s Parent Academy, and is in her fifth year as a Quest Mentor for a PVUSD student. Dr. Skidmore was recently re-elected to her third term on the Governing Board and has served two years as Board president. She and her husband, Mark, have two daughters that have graduated from PVUSD. Her term expires in December 2012.

School District Governing Board
Five publicly
elected Governing Board members work hard
to maintain high levels of excellence in education.
They serve four-year terms. The Governing
Board sets all district policies and has final
authority over all school district business.
The
Board welcomes the public to attend its meetings.
Regular meetings are usually held on the first
and third Thursdays of each month, at 7 p.m.
in the Governing Board room at the District
Administrative Center, 15002 N. 32nd Street,
Phoenix. Study sessions are held as needed
for the purpose of studying one or more specific
issues in depth. No action is taken during
a study session.
