MIMR
The Quail Run Self-Contained MIMR program works to create a
multi-sensory environment to accommodate all modalities of learning.
The program also places an emphasis on visual cues, as well as
providing a language-enriched classroom promoting verbal communication
skills with the children. The program seeks to mainstream
children with regular education students when in the best interest
for the education of the child. Additionally, all students
attend lunch, recess, specials and some field trips. The two
MIMR classrooms can have up to 15 children with one classroom
teacher and one to two classroom aides. Criteria for placement
include cognitive ability standard scores within the range of
55-70 and adaptive skills standard scores within the same range.
