Minutes - Technology Advisory Committee (TAC) September 6, 2007 Start Time 3:15 pm Present: Lisa Baker, Lil Baribault, Linda Barker, Jeff Billings, Cindy Daly, Tom Elliott, Elaine Jacobs, Bev Kilgore, Dave Mickelson, Tom Morris, Jason Reynolds, John Weimer Absent: DeeAnn Esposito, Kris Lee, Keith Wetzel Roles: Facilitator: Jeff Billings, Scribe: Bev Kilgore Deployment Updates: • Jeff Billings reviewed the deployments that TAC approved for this school year.  The deployment and reassignment of resources was a huge undertaking.  It is ongoing, and progress is made every day.  We are about 85-90% deployed.   • pDAT is also becoming more dynamic and it will continue to grow.  Technology staff is being trained to be able to create our own district views • GenYes is at about 60% penetration into schools right now. • Distancia (our online high school courses) • pSAMs online architecture has changed to maximize the new bandwidth. • WirelessWAN is done. • Printer Audit - Recommendations expected by January. Upcoming TAC Investigations: • Student Information System - Request for Information to explore unified system for all sites. • User Roles - Further dialog with principals Convergence Technologies: • pvLearners.net - schoolwide deployment • pTunes - iTunesU partnership with ASU, Apple and PVUSD • pVTV - In six schools now and all schools by the end of the school year • Video Announcements - schools using Video Production Hard/Software • VoIP - deploying soft phones to test with ELL Language Line.
