The Center for Research in Engineering, Science and Technology, CREST, is a small, specialty school located on the campus of Paradise Valley High School. CREST will provide Paradise Valley High School students with three specialized programs including Biotechnology  -- Research and Development, Biotechnology -- Sustainability and Engineering. The courses in these programs focus on science, technology, engineering and mathematics education. CREST specialized courses are meant to encourage and prepare students to follow their interests into the workforce and college.

CREST will open in August 2010 with a select freshman class of approximately 150 students. CREST students will take their specialty classes in a new facility being built near 40th Street and Bell Road on the PVHS campus. Eighth-grade students from PVUSD and the surrounding northeast valley are encouraged to apply to CREST by December 1, 2009.  The application is available on this Website and can be picked up in the reception area of Paradise Valley High School.

CREST leads and inspires students within a collaborative, project-based learning environment emphasizing rigor, relevance, and relationships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Students graduate highly-motivated and fully-qualified to pursue STEM-oriented degrees at the post-secondary level.

CREST is a state of the art specialty school designed to function as student-centered teaching and learning tool. Located at Paradise Valley High School, CREST enhances real world, multi-disciplinary learning, and provides the advantages of a comprehensive high school experience.

The CREST curriculum is integrated and thematic, with high expectations for teaching and learning. Students collaborate with peers, teachers, universities, and industry experts to gain valuable experiences through practical applications of theoretical knowledge. Students learn and apply 21st Century skills as we focus on excellence in achievement.
