CONTRACT SCOPE:
The District has awarded three specific categories of engineering services - Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical. Each category has been awarded a certain amount of "short list" firms who may be contracted to perform a variety of engineering services for the District. Any of these firms may be selected to perform engineering services. Once the most qualified firm has been determined for a particular project then the District shall enter into negotiations with that firm to determine an acceptable fee structure for the project at hand. If a fee cannot be agreed to then the District has the right to terminate the discussions and go the second most qualified firm, until an agreement is completed. Any architectural fees that exceed $35,000 must be brought to the Governing Board for approval prior to any work being initiated.
