Parents of Pinnacle

POP is a combination of previous parent groups that have worked hard over the past years to assist PHS with many traditions that define us. We consist of an executive board, various committees, and general members.

Parent participation and support are always welcome-we couldn't do it without you. There are many ways to help support POP. Begin by visiting our web page using the link below to see the financial and volunteer opportunities available.

POP is the parent organization for the students who attend PHS.  We pledge support and assistance to our Pinnacle family of students, staff, and parents.    

POP will provide for the 2008-2009 school year:

The all-night safe party for the graduating seniors, “Project Grad”

• Scholarships for the Senior class

• Teacher and staff appreciation & support

• Special programs for students and parents

• Up-to-date communication informing parents of PHS happenings

• Club support & assistance as needed

• Insurance and tax preparation services for all applicable parent sub-clubs for school organizations, sports teams, and extra-curricular activities.

PVUSD #69 Voluntary Drug Testing Program

Paradise Valley Unified School District piloted an expanded drug testing program for students in our district in 2006.  This was as a result of survey results from parents of middle- and high-school students in the spring of 2005.   Prior to the 2005-2006 school year, the only students who were part of our district’s random student drug testing program were those who participated in activities sponsored by the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA). Nearly 90 percent of the parents and guardians who responded to the survey were in favor of expanding voluntary, random drug testing to the broader student population, with parent permission.
