on a job well done!

A friendly reminder about parking
We are anticipating a student enrollment of over 1,100 junior and senior students with roughly 500 parking spaces. At this time, we have issued all of our parking permits. However, over the summer some students have notified us that they will not be purchasing a parking permit. In that case, senior students will be given first priority and if there are any spots remaining, junior students will place their name into a lottery. At this time we do NOT expect a lottery that would involve juniors; however, junior students are free to put their name into the lottery and we will keep their names on file. If you have already submitted your name for the lottery, we have it on file.
We remind everyone that student discipline and attendance are considered for a student to register/maintain a parking permit on the PHS campus. Students will not be eligible for a parking permit if they have two or more suspensions or any combination of five or more discipline/attendance/tardy referrals. Students must also follow the parking guideline contract signed when they are issued their parking permit or students can loose their permit.
There is a parking committee that meets twice a year to adjust parking guidelines and discuss current issues. Through discussion, feedback and consensus, the parking committee is confident that the parking guidelines provide consistency and equity for the parking situation at Pinnacle. The parking committee's proposal was approved by school council and is revisited yearly. Please e-mail Brenda Corte if you have suggestions or questions regarding parking procedures at PHS and she will forward them to the parking committee.
Student parking is limited to student parking lot at PHS. Please be advised that if any student parks on the street or in the desert illegally, the Phoenix police will ticket with no exception.
Attention Parents of Incoming Freshman
If you missed Parent Academy on April 30 below is the information that you missed.
Introducing e-Backpack Service
Because student work should be the emphasis of take-home information, PVUSD has created an "e-backpack" Webpage to make flyers available to parents interested in the activities, programs and events being promoted by non-profit organizations in our community.
As a community service, the PVUSD Governing Board authorizes the distribution of information (flyers or other promotional material) of outside organizations that is intended solely to notify students and their parents of opportunities to participate in youth-related programs, activities or events that aim to improve the health, education or welfare of the students. x

of the top 1,200 public high schools in the United States and Pinnacle
High School has once again joined the ranks of the top 1,200 coming in this year at #298 up from #455 last year! Accomplishments such as this can not happen without the teamwork and dedication of an entire school community. Congratulations to the staff
and students at Pinnacle who make it count every day and have made Pinnacle one of the best schools in the country.
The PHS-ITC Garden Project
Have you heard? Pinnacle is looking to create a really great outdoor educational space. Discover our plan to provide a wonderful new and unique learning environment; the PHS-ITC Garden Project. This is more than just pretty plants; this is a multi-use area that is really an extension of the library, which will be available to all classes! The Garden Project includes an outdoor amphitheater, and much more.

Printer Cartridge Collection
If you are replacing your printer’s cartridge, bring
your old cartridge to your school nurse. Every type is
accepted. These cartridges will be turned over to STARS
Foundation. This is a sheltered workshop for persons
with various disabilities. With your donation you are
keeping the cartridges out of our landfills and providing valuable
work for the STARS consumers. If you have any questions,
you can call your school nurse Linda Moskowitz, RN at
(480)419-4414 or Dr. Bast at (480)367-5813 at North Ranch Elementary.
Online School Meal Payments
Now Available
PVUSD parents now can manage their child ’s school meal
account online through EzSchoolPay, a secure, online service
which parents may register for using their e-mail address,
a password, school name or ZIP code, a major credit card and
their child ’s student ID number (if your child does
not know his/her ID number, contact the PVUSD Nutrition and
Wellness department at 602-493-6330). Parents can check the
balance or add funds to the online meal account at any time.
Each student listed in the family's account will keep a separate
balance, and checks and cash will continue to be accepted in
all school cafeterias for meal accounts.
EZSchoolPay.com charges a small service fee ($2 per transaction,
which is automatically added to the payment amount, not subtracted
from it.)
