The Nutrition & Wellness Department is always looking for good people. The students are fun to work with and you can't beat the schedule — NO EVENINGS OR WEEKENDS.
Substitute Nutrition & Wellness Department Worker positions are available. You can view an online list of open classified positions at:
Job duties include:
- Food preparation
- Serving food
- Training on computer for meal-service area
- Money handling
- General clean up (washing dishes, cleaning floors, emptying trash)
- Other duties as assigned
All Nutrition & Wellness Department positions require a Maricopa County Food Handler's Card. Information can be obtained at 602.506.2960 or at the Maricopa Government Website. Proof of immunization for MMR is required for those born after January 1, 1957. Upon being hired for the school district you will be fingerprinted.

Food Plan
PVUSD Nutrition & Wellness received the District of Excellence distinction in 2009. This award is granted to child nutrition programs by the School Nutrition Association for exhibiting best practices and program quality. PVUSD is one of only 28 districts nationally and the only in Arizona to currently hold this distinction.
