Media Center

Our media center allows access to online magazines, newspapers, journals, primary source documents, maps and flags through the EBSCO database - ID: "nchs", Password: "rattlers".

We also have the Accelerated Reader program. Although quizzes must be taken between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm at computers in the library, students and parents can log on at home to determine not only what quizzes are available at NCHS, but also the reading level and points for quizzes. A student may also view a report on what quizzes he or she has taken in the past. Log in to Accelerated Reader with the student pOGB user name and the password "nchsar".

We strongly encourage students to use their pvlearners account for any school related activities - corresponding with teachers, working with fellow students on group assignments, saving documents and presentations, setting up Turnitincom, maintaining a homework and school activity calendar. Because pvlearners can be accessed from any computer with internet access, using the student's pOGB user name and external password, it can be a very useful tool.
