Counseling - Our trained counselors and social worker are here to talk with you, to advise you academically, and to help in times of need. To make an appointment, see the contact information above. In addition, NCHS offers Unity Days, Anytown Camp and a variety of support groups facilitated by trained teachers who volunteer their time.

Academic Help - Students tutor other students in every subject for FREE before and after school, at lunch, and on weekends. Contact your counselor for tutor names and phone numbers. In addition, National Honor Society provides free after-school tutoring in the Media Center each Thursday. Want to keep track of daily assignments? Pick up a form in the counseling office.

Four Year Plan - To graduate, students must earn 22 credits and pass the AIMS test. Click here for credit requirements. This plan will vary for IB students.

Transcripts are now on-line! Any time of day or night you can order a secure, paperless transcript from Docufide. These are available only for graduation years 2000 and after for $5.00. For an old-fashioned transcript, come by the NCHS guidance office.

College and Careers Visit the College and Career Center in room 176 whenever you need any information concerning your college or career choices. This includes information on college searches, applications, SAT/ACT testing, scholarships, financial aid, and career assessment. The College and Career Specialist, Joni Bauchmoyer, can also be reached at (602) 449-5051. Please check our College and Careers page for more information.

Effective May 22, 2008:
Paradise Valley Unified School District will NO LONGER accept online/off campus coursework credits that are done through any company, school or organization which claims to have free tuition. This includes Pinnacle and Primavera Online as well as Deer Valley Charter. All coursework done outside of Paradise Valley School District must be paid for and proof of payment must be given to the student's counselor.

If you already signed up with one of these companies, you will not receive credit. Please contact them and cancel your class.

If you have any questions, please contact the Counseling Office at North Canyon High School at 602-449-5015.
