AIMS HONORS ENDORSEMENT

In order for a student to be eligible for a tuition waiver, all three parts of the Honors Endorsement must be met.

Part 1
Students must complete all 16 core competency courses by graduation with a B or better in each course (4 credits of English, 4 credits of math, 3 credits of lab science, 2 credits of social science, 2 credits of world language, and 1 credit of fine arts).

Part 2
Students must meet at least one of the following academic requirements:

• Cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale,

OR

• Rank in the top 5% of the graduating class upon graduation.

Part 3
Students must meet at least one of the options:

• Exceed the stardards on 3 out of the 3 AIMS tests.

OR

• Exceed the standards on 2 out of the 3 AIMS tests (the third must meed standards) AND get a score of at least 3 on 2 of the Advanced Placement/IB tests.

AIMS Voluntary Retakes
Students who have met AIMS standards may choose to retake the AIMS tests in order to exceed standards. These students must notify the Counseling Department by specific deadlines so that materials and proctors will be arranged for them.
