Who Wants to be a "Millionaire"? MTMS is having its first AR Millionaire Word Challenge. Students, you are challenged to read a MILLION words or more. Here is how it works: Each book has a specific word count. For example, The Vile Village, a 7 point book has 39, 357 words, while Michael Jordan, a 0.5 point book, has 1,070 words.  Words read is based on the percentage of questions correct on an AR test. Test takers receive the total word count only if they receive a 100%, otherwise they receive a percentage of the words if they pass the test. Each student who reaches the million word count goal will receive a special reward, have their names on the Wall of Fame library, and are published in the parent newsletter.  We already have 51 students who are one million word champions and 3 students who has read over TWO million words. Checkout the bulletin board in the library for champions. It will be updated with new "millionaires" each week. LET'S GET READING!
