HIGH SCHOOL GROUNDSKEEPER – (Formerly Groundskeeper II (Trade Group))

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. Arizona driver's license required.
3. Effective communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Experience in grounds trades.
2. Experience with striping and marking athletic fields. 
3. CDL license

REPORTS TO: Principal

SUPERVISES:

JOB GOAL:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Establish and maintain a good rapport with students, employees, and community members.
2. Considerable physical activity working outside in all weather conditions, including in the hot sun.
3. Perform all facets of grounds work, i.e. mowing, trimming, landscaping, and gardening.
4. Operate a variety of equipment in job-related areas such as riding mowers, loaders, small or medium size trucks and landscaper, and field marking equipment.
5. Duties involve weed and pest control, athletic field preparation, and sprinkler systems.
6. Other job-related duties as assigned. 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
