ATTENDANCE CLERK II – (formerly Senior Attendance Clerk)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. At least one year experience in attendance reporting in school district.
  3. Knowledge of general office procedures.
  4. Knowledge of district/state student computer program..
  5. Experience in a lead capacity desirable.
  6. Experience with Microsoft Office Products.
  7. Effective communication skills.

REPORTS TO: Building Administration

SUPERVISES:  Attendance Clerk 1

JOB GOAL:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees and community.
  2. Prepare and verify state attendance reports for accuracy and completeness.
  3. Codes, compiles, enters in computer and files a variety of data pertaining to attendance and enrollment.
  4. Plans, assigns and directs the daily activities of the attendance office.
  5. Oversees early student departures, late arrivals, and communicates and parents regarding student attendance.
  6. Knowledge of district truancy/discipline policy.
  7. Other job-related duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine, ten, or twelve-month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
